Norman. These verses are very unusual syntactically in the old texts as the subject of the second verse occurs at the end of the first, which is rarely seen.11 ||

sa ve antimaśārīro -ā- is m.c. to give the pathyā cadence.15    mahāpraṁño ti vuccati The reading here confirms that mahāpuriso in the Pāḷi is an addition to the text. It has probably come in from the commentary on the verse.16 ||
