Note on the Indexes

The indexes presented here have more than 5,000 entries indexed and there are more than 13,000 hyperlinks back to the main documents. In the indexes the reference number for the parallel refers to the Pàëi verse number.

The indexes are primitive and unparsed as the work involved in parsing all the entries, in 4 different languages, is more effort than it is worth when it is always possible to use search facilities once the files have been downloaded anyway.

Because the index is so large it has been split into 35 parts, but even so some of the documents are quite large and may take a short while to download depending on the speed of your connection.

Some of the verse numbers have secondary versions and are numbered 98.i, 98.ii, etc. etc. These are all numbered as 98 in the indexes. When you get to the page you will have to see whether there are versions to search.

To access one of the index pages please use the links provided in the pane on the left.

Note that because of the deficiencies of Html frame documents, the notes pane will not open when you access the documents through this index. You can still access the notes, but the pane will open in a new window (read more).
